Ahh the inverse of the Rush Limbaugh Environmentalist Wacko Football picks.
Have the two head coaches sit down and play the game in EA Madden 23.
I said almost that exact thing to my wife last night.
There were a lot of angry gamblers last night.
To be fair, unless the game is resumed and completed then both the Bills and the Bengals should take a loss. Should the game be completed, then the outcome should stand. JMHO.
I could go with this idea.
You must be a Chiefs fan.
Who cares.
Same way it works every year. :)
Let Fauxi decide.
I wish it could be played tomorrow, and then resume the regular schedule. I know that’s unlikely, but what the hey. I really wanted to see the Bengals and the Bills play. Both are good teams.
I have no idea how this will play out, but I’m sure there will be arguments all the way around.
In the winter, one week in late January is not going to make that much difference in terms of the weather, it’s going to be cold and windy regardless of the time the game is played.
14 teams make the playoffs, 12 will have played 17 games in the regular season, cancelling last night’s game means 2 teams will play one less game to have people injured, etc...it would be unfair to all the teams to allow that to happen.
Personally, I think they should have continued the game last night, there is precedent for doing so, I can’t remember a single game in NFL history that was called off like that.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out, and this Bills fan has been receiving support from around the country from friends and family. But with that said, it’s going to be asked: What to do with the rest of the NFL “
It depends on whether they keep stopping games every time a player has an issue. Maybe they should just ban the game so people don’t have to be upset
How many times have players suffered cardiac arrest on the field?
The only real effect it has is the #1 seed in the AFC- which is significant. Bill are home vs Pats next week and should win for victory #13
Chiefs already have 13 wins and play Raiders Sunday. Chiefs lost to the Bills week 6
If the Bengals beat the Ravens at home Sunday they win the AFC North. If they lose both teams have 11 wins
Have the commissioner declare the Bengals the winner. Treat it like an overtime period. Both the teams had a possession and both teams scored but the Bengals scored more. Both teams will still make the playoffs so the only downside is seeding. This result causes the least disruption.
Back in 72 a player died.
They’ve done that in the past. The Sunday after 9-11 the games were cancelled and they pushed everything back one week
I am surprised the league didn’t at least ask the Bills to stay in Cincinnati today to see if the situation with Hamler improved and see if they could get the game in tonight.
Too late to go back, but I was surprised they didn’t play the game last night. There have been games where a player has been paralyzed and they cart him off the field and the game goes on. IMO, there should have been an announcement like, “Hamlin is now at the U Cincinnati Medical Center and is receiving the best of care. He is there with his family.” And then the game should have resumed. Both teams would have been shaken up. Buffalo possibly more, but Buffalo might have been more motivated to win for their team mate.
I always thought they should have stopped the fog game.
