Come to Mobile: Safer than Chicago
Hell no. Baldwin County is full. We’re closed. Too many damn Yankees all screaming for Aldi’s and other junk they just left. Don’t come down here and New York up my Baldwin County, but if you do, you ASSIMILATE! You’ll have 24 hrs to choose either Auburn or ‘Bama. That’s it. No Syracuse flags or other pseudo college ball teams. No one else counts. You’re only choice for pro ball are the Saints! If you watch baseball, it’s the Braves. You’ll shop at The Pig, Rouses or Publix AND THAT’S IT. No ALDIS and no Wegmans. Ketchup IS NOT a spice, grits are good and you will need at least three years to get aclimitized to the heat and humidity. In the mean time, we know it’s hot and don’t need to hear it from you every fifteen minutes. One other thing... We aren’t the ones with accents. Other than that, come on down. Bless your heart...

You directed this to the wrong person. I don’t disagree with anything you said. I live in Mauvilla (Mobile County, outside Saraland). But I’ve got bad news; ya’ll are already lost. You let too many of them in. Sorry.
Bellingrath Gardens is a must see. Do the grounds, and be sure to tour the home. Can’t believe it hasn’t been suggested yet!
I second that. My uncle and I toured the battleship Alabama. It took him back to his Navy days serving on a destroyer. The big guns on the ship apparently made him partially deaf.
Also could check out Orange Beach, AL, which is just west of the AL/FL line.
I live in Pensacola, but I heard from a Mobile native that Government Street in Mobile is where the bars are at.
Yeah. We did. They’re all over now and a lot of them brought there pink haired kids with them and think it’s funny when they get teachers in trouble for issuing conservative reading lists.
Yeah, I grew up down in the Gulf Shores/Foley area a long, long time ago. So long ago that there was no bridge at Alabama Point until I was in the 7th grade or so. The beach road just ended there.
Back then, everything was just considered 'Gulf Shores'. Orange Beach, Romar Beach, even Fort Morgan, it was all just areas of Gulf Shores.
It's a beautiful area and we go back whenever we can. Spent a week there this past June, renting a 7BR/7BA condo on Fort Morgan Road for 22 people. Entire extended family from Texas and Illinois.
