The flashback videos from the original were bittersweet. Back before Meg Ryan mutilated her face.
I know. Time has not been kind to her. To many of us, I guess.
The first time I saw her was on a Flock of Seagulls video for “Space Aged Love Song.” Great 80’s video shot in a Target.

Yep. She’s lost a little of the “baby” fat. She actually has gotten prettier.
It wasnt majority blacks, not sure what the other poster was talking about. In fact I was surprised how few minorities were in the film considering Hollywood agendas. It seemed like a realistic demographic. I didn’t event notice the one female pilot was supposedly hispanic, they certainly didnt make a big deal out of it or about anything “race” at all. We went with a large group of friends with 4 ex military pilots among us ( one Air Force, two Navy, one Marine who was in space program, all super conservative, all hate the woke garbage). Ages ranging from mid 50s to late 60s probably. They all loved it, thought was great and a lot of fun. Don’t understand the criticism here. Maybe watch the trailer to see what you think.
I agree. Not sure where some of the critiques on here are coming from. Very fun, patriotic and great movies. A rarity these days!

I never saw the movie that was made from but I heard the mechanical horse scene was tasteless.

My claim-to-fame is that the last movie I saw in a theatre was the original Top Gun, minus the Passion of the Christ.

Took my 7-year-old grandson. He wants to join the Navy now!
Seriously, that's what I'm afraid of. Husband and I saw the movie on opening day and loved it.
Our very athletic college senior grandson has been talking about being a navy pilot for a couple of years now. Everybody in the family has been discouraging it. He's going to see it this weekend and I know that'll only encourage him.
