Have to do that with our medical betters. Cash (unless I actually don’t have it) and paper receipt. I had a screw up on billing that made me forever carry my last receipt for all doctors.
I have gotten lazy about getting enough cash for groceries and gas, since I’ve been married but esp. since the gas started going up in 2007. And of course now, everything is too expensive.
Exactly! This transition to cashless has absolutely zero to do with hygiene and health protection and everything to do with gov and complete control over people. Buy the wrong products? Your cashless account is temporarily suspended or restricted. Give to,the wrong groups? Again, no soup for you! With a cashless system, the gov can mo it or every purchase or donation and shut down anyone that doesn’t toe the line
I pay in cash whenever I buy, though I have 2 VISA cards. I keep a HUGE amount of cash in my Cannon Gun Safe, and like to save the business the transaction/carrying fees, when I can.

I can’t tell you how many hard-core lefties in my neck of the woods Canada’s Deep State has red-pilled.
It’s gotten so bad in parts of Upstate that I now know small businesses that are cash only, no plastic and no checks.

There are a few places here in York (PA) that take “cash only”, but most still take plastic.
I see the batsignal went up for no more paper money. Whenever possible, fight it. That’s a hill worth dying on.
