I am assuming that Spotify is similar to Pandora, except Spotify is ‘streamed’ for a fee and Pandora is on the internet for free.
Is that correct? I have to ask somebody under the age of 35 to be sure.

Here's the limiting factor: streaming music services like Spotify keep careful track of play statistics. 75% of the play action on Spotify is music that is >30 years old. Spotify primarily benefits the older musicians or their estates. So I rather doubt this particular boycott will snowball.
If you want to listen to ALL of Rogan’s podcasts then you do need Spotify. Excerpts are cross-posted on other services by fans and those are subject to being taken down on a fact-check basis. So Rogan’s presence on other services is informal and shot full of holes.
They are total sellouts and I don’t take them seriously.

Re: streaming sound quality
Spotify premium has up to 320 kbps quality available (the highest quality .mp3 audio file). It’s quite good when I connect my phone to a stereo sound system.
I did a comparison test using good headphones about 25 years ago (when file size was more significant due to the high cost of storage media) — CD quality versus 320kbps mp3.
I was surprised that the 320kbps was similar to CD quality (by my ears). I could hear differences on some sounds like the sizzle of a cymbal on a jazz recording or for classical music, but for rock or pop music I decided 320 mp3s would be more than adequate.
Ok, but personally, I don’t spend my time listening to his entire podcasts, much less ALL of them.
EI only choose the portions I want to listen to and they’re mostly posted in other sites.
The only podcasts I listened to in their entirety are his interviews with Dr. Peter McCullough and Dr. Robert Malone, which were the ones the leftists want to censor.
