You might want to ask the moderator to strike that post. It will follow and cause giggles for years to come.
You do know, right, that the three easiest degrees to get, by far, you don't even have to show up all the time, are Police Science, Journalism, and Education. These are not the brightest people, and yet the cops are your hero's? Says a lot about you right there.
And you do know that most cops spend their 20 years on the force without drawing their service weapon even once? They go to the range once a year to qualify and don't even bother to clean their weapons aside from that. So much for split second decision making.
I'm not against cops. They are highly paid to collect revenue for the state, not keep the peace, but that is their decision. I know cops, most civilians, as they call us, don't. Why? In the past, cops were part of the community. They went to schools, walked around at events, joined clubs... Now they don't. Why? Because people (civilians) fear them and don't like to be near them. So the police only go to cop bars. And when there is a favorable interaction, like a cop helping an old lady across the street, it is headline news because it doesn't happen that often. Cops lie with impunity, won't report bad officers, steal money, drugs and firearms from civilians, it is not good. It's called Kharma when bad things happen to cops. Since the system can't change them, they will have to labor hard to regain the trust they once enjoyed. You see that happening yet? Really? Cop apologist is an epithet, not something to make you proud.
By the way, your cop was fired and the Lt has a million dollar suit going. Open you eyes,.
