Could the Rosenbergs be executed today?

Sure, Xiden would just outsource it to Iran.

Although the Rosenbergs were Soviet spies and traitors, the person who handed over the secrets to building the atomic bomb was Klaus Fuchs. He was a German Communist who fled to Britain after the Nazi takeover. He became part of the Tube Alloys program to develop a nuclear bomb. When the UK and US decided to combine their programs, Fuchs was sent to Los Alamos. In both the UK and US, he was a Soviet agent.

He returned to the UK after the war and eventually was identified through intercepts. After serving prison time, he went to East Germany where he could enjoy that communist paradise.

Who in their right mind would argue that it wasn’t best for the world that the US got there first?

Well, people who aren't in their right mind. You know . . . liberals.

I visited the Trinity site in 1995. It used to be open two days out of the year.

For the first time ever, mankind has the ability to wipe away human life as we know it at the push of a button.

Actually, the main positive effect of "The Bomb" is that now the Politicians who gladly send their young men off to die in war can be placed at the same level of risk as those young men.

Kinda makes them pause... and think a bit.

“An armed society is a polite society. Manners are good when one may have to back up his acts with his life.”

― Robert A. Heinlein, Beyond This Horizon

We called it M.A.D. - "Mutually Assured Destruction".

Unfortunately, with Biden & Co. bought and paid for, perhaps the Chinese no longer consider it "mutually assured".

Being "Armed" is ineffectual without the Will to use those Arms.

Joe Biden is a Trojan Horse for the Radical Left!

"Metaphorically, a "Trojan horse" has come to mean any trick or stratagem that causes a target to invite a foe into a securely protected bastion or place."

It can certainly be argued that our development of The Bomb has prevented World War 3...or anything resembling WW3.

The Soviets were pursuing their own nuke, led by Kurchatov. All the Rosenberg spy ring did was confirm that Kurchatov was on the right track. Later on, the Soviets beat us to first developing a “dry” hydrogen bomb, that effort led by Andrei Sakharov. The same Sakharov who was later a dissident.

The electric chair came into use because Thomas Edison was an a-hole.
He wanted to make Nikola Tesla’s AC look bad.
Edison also had stray dogs, a horse, and even an elephant, publicly electrocuted to make AC look bad.

Fact is, a lot of the people who’ve decried the bombing of Japan wouldn’t be here today if Operation Downfall had gone into effect. My own grandfather who served in Europe had been assigned to jungle training shortly before Japan’s surrender.
