Jaguars TE Tyler Eifert Wears David Dorn’s Name On His Helmet

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Tyler Eifert honored David Dorn during his Sunday game against the Colts.

Eifert placed Dorn’s name on the back of his helmet for the big 27-20 win over Indianapolis. Dorn was a retired police captain who was murdered at the age of 77 during the riots in St. Louis this summer in June.

This is a 100% pure class move from Eifert, and there’s no other way to put it. The NFL is letting players wear helmet decals with the names of people impacted by “systemic racism,” and it’s obviously become super political.

However, Dorn wasn’t impacted by police violence, but was a heroic retired police hero who lost his life in a savage act of violence.

Someone should wear Trump’s name.

I can’t imagine anyone more attacked because of the phony political race-wars we are experiencing

Let’s see what the NFL says about that.

If someone is bold enough to wear “Kyle Rittenhouse” maybe I’ll watch again. :)

I am certain there are others within the ranks of sports dudes who are not with this crap but are afraid to take a stand.
Drew knew that if he didn’t go along his line would let him Die.

Let’s see what the NFL says about that.

I'll guess a $10,000 fine.

With his history of injury that took guts. I am very surprised he wasn’t cheap shotted out of a career. I saw Eifert at a Trump rally in Cincinnati.

I don’t think Trump was on the list of ‘nfl’ approved names that are “allowed” to be displayed. “Allowed”. Got that.

Drew went along to keep his career...yeah. In other words he was willing to sell his soul in order to play football, period. I think he would have ended up with lots of support and on the right side of history if he would have stuck to his guns. IMHO

i don’t give a crap about who wears what “message” ... i want pure entertainment from sports, an escape from reality and the constant firehose of politics, rather than a lot of political hoo-ha and political commentary ... since that won’t be the case, i’ve abandoned pro sports and found other pursuits ...

He’s going to b e in trouble. I wouldn’t be shocked if he’s out of the league soon. This will not be permitted. It might encourage others to do it.
