And eventually that means the professional players will take pay cuts. Maybe not reductions of current contracts, but future deals for current and future players. A lowering tide lowers all boats.
Even better, if the states decide that they can't afford to finance the minor league football and basketball programs at college level anymore, the NFL and NBA would have to start their own minor leagues. Then the players could pay tuition to attend college from their minor league salaries.

Yes, blacks are, on the average, better at basketball than whites. That is also true for most, but not all, other sports.
But I plan to watch NBA basketball because I played basketball when I was younger and am simply in awe of the skill of some of these professionals.
I love to watch Luka Doncic play. Amazing guy. But anyone who doesn’t appreciate the skills of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and many others must have lost their eyesight at a young age.
I do make an occasional exception. While LeBron is without question a superb athlete, he picked the wrong sport. He is just the guy you need in a 3rd and 2 situation late in a tight game. In football that’s exciting. In basketball it’s boring.
I bet they punish Doncic for his “white supremacy.”
Well I just watched the last minutes and the overtime of game 4 between the Mavericks and the Clippers.
It not an understatement to state that it was one of the greatest finishes to a basketball game that I have ever witnessed. I’m so sorry for the NBA boycotting Freepers who missed it but that’s life.
A few highlights:
1. Harrell and Doncic shook hands, hugged and went on with their liives before the game.
2. Doncic had perhaps the greatest game of his career. 40+ points and a triple double.
3. At the end of overtime with less than 4 seconds to go and Dallas trailing by one point, Doncic takes an inbound pass and hits a 3 pointer from at least 5 feet behind the 3 point line.
4 Doncic wins the game for the Mavericks.
Luca is from Slovenia. He should open a can of whoop ass in his native language on this POS feral human.
Then outplay the punk.
