It's NOT 'the government' - it's the duly elected mayors of hellhole democrat cities that are the problem.
When Katrina hit New Orleans there were police departments all over Florida suited up and ready to go help. They were not allowed - by law - to just show up. They had to be invited by the mayor of New Orleans and that 'invite' never came.
It's the same here. Any of these hellhole mayors could ask for help to stop this crap and they would receive help. People have to function within the law. It's our system.
When that doesn't work the solution is to write new laws... But those need to be well thought out so we don't make the situation worse.
