I hope he learns to like and appreciate politics, or he’ll get the politics of people that don’t like him shoved down his throat.

What young and/or naive people don’t understand is that at its essence politics is about your perceived self interest on a large scale. It’s trying to achieve with a group of people with similar interests what you cannot achieve as a single individual.

Another reality about politics is that in politics there are no bystanders. Whether you want to participate in it or not you’re in the game and and it will impact you.

Unfriggin believable! This guardsman’s story described what we were seeing occur live while the Governor, Mayor and Councilpersons were lying through there collective teeth that these were peaceful protests. Not only was tear gas justified, when they started throwing projectiles and destroying property, so was lethal force.

We should have sent that lying POS Inslee into that crowd - without his security detail. What an unmitigated lowlife he is to deploy the Guard into a violent situation without proper protection.

Inslee is a CERTIFIED MORON. But apparently the voters are too. I live on the red side of the blue state, but many apparently intelligent neighbors will keep voting for him. We need better Repub candidates.

I asked my chain of command a few times about arming us, but it was relayed over and over that Governor Inslee wouldn’t allow the Guard to defend ourselves or take the fight to the enemy (Antifa). The Governor made us rely on SPD to “protect us.” That limited the scope of our response, limiting our role as “shields” and “bodies” on the line for SPD… As SPD Officers and Guardsman continued to get injured at East Precinct, it became increasingly frustrating… Arming the National Guard is a risk, and some Antifa members probably would have been shot, but the situation would have been resolved quickly with a VERY different outcome.

So disturbing. Inslee didn’t want another “Kent State” photo; so he let our Guardsmen take injuries and abuse for two weeks.
