Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), who just won her primary with 72.5 percent of the vote, said Thursday that public safety will require “experimentation” after police departments are defunded.
“We can disagree about the details of it, but we can’t go back,” Ocasio-Cortez said during a virtual town hall.
Rep. Ocasio-Cortez proves Democrats have no idea what would take the place of police after defunding.

“And this conversation— figuring out that path forward— as much as we want policy to be ‘I’m going to propose it, I’m going to have all of the answers’ and put a neat little bow and pass this one law once and everything is going to be fixed, that’s how we wish all of this stuff works, but what really it’s going to take it experimentation, and to ask, ‘What if?'” she said.
“And to even pass laws in the spirit of that experimentation, as well,” the socialist congresswoman said.

Defund the police first and foremost. Even though "we" won't have a neat little package and all the answers right away, "we" can 'experiment' while "we" go, and see how things turn out?

AOC is enamored with the idea of a collective (collectivists) social experiment.
Your life individually doesn’t matter to her (she has protection). Just one big giant political game for her and her ilk, all to grab complete power.
These are stupid kids playing with matches. They need to be spanked. She’d probably like that.
I have no problem with experimenting in New York City, no cops - lets see what happens.
Nonexistent reporter: Congresswoman, there are entire communities that are being held hostage by criminal elements. They are unable to go to a store without the clerk in a bullet proof cage. Their movements are monitored by cameras in the stores and in the streets. Children are unable to play in front of their homes, much less at a park, because of the violence that plagues their community.
If your plan doesn't address the fundamental rights of those communities to enjoy their homes, their parks, their streets, then why should any of them ever support you?
Vote for me, I'll make sure you have to huddle behind bulletproof walls. I'll decriminalize most things to make it easier for a young gangster to escalate into murder. And I'll be fine, because I have my safe neighborhood and personal security, while I cry over the difficulty in owning two homes on JUST a couple hundred grand a year.
Communities of color are under siege, murder rates are horrific, assaults are up, and all the while, you're saying don't call the cops because some criminal might get hurt when they attack the police. Explain your plan as if you actually have to live in the community. Then explain why you don't, both in your district and in the District of Columbia. Why do you claim to represent poor people but choose not to live with them?
Start by removing police protection from these Congressional assholes.
You have no problem with a plan that will absolutely end up with little kids and even babies being killed by stray shots??

She wants a full-on Maoist Cultural Revolution, where police are replaced by “social work teams” and “neighborhood watch” groups which go forth and identify and harass free citizens who just want to be left alone. Eventually, they will be targeted for arrest on whatever crime the prosecutor wants to make up. Nobody will care because nobody will know because negative news will not be permitted.
Use the money from the Police Budget to pay people not to commit crimes?

Okay, let’s experiment with a brain transplant for Sandy from Westchester. The one she has is obviously addled and barely functional.
A lot of people here thought she would be one-and-done, but I predict she will cruise to victory.

For the communities she’s really talking about, we already have real world results: Africa and Central America. That’s what it looks like when those peoples do (mostly) their own thing as opposed be to being grafted onto a culture developed by white people. I know that’s frank talk in terminology that many find uncomfortable, but that’s reality.
Is it economics? Well, compare “socialist” Sweden with “free” Somalia or “free” Memphis, TN.
Is it religion? Black Americans are far more religious than Israelis. Tel Aviv is a lot nicer than Detroit.
Is it the Constitution? Liberia started with essentially the same Constitution as the United States. Results were different. I don’t know the story of the DemonKKKrats in Liberia, but it must be a wild one.
We already know how these “experiments” are going to turn out. Black areas will be like Africa, Hispanic areas will be like Central America, white areas will be like Europe (until all of their people are slaughtered).
I think you are reading a bit too much into my post. I was trying to point out that things will go very bad if they do such a thing. You appear to have a very warped mind to come up with that vile example. I do not tell people I am a Christian either.
That’s how the Dems do it: get rid of something they don’t like; then throw away money and lives “experimenting” to find its replacement.
