A young man at Berkeley was shot in the back of the head while on a walk. The chancellor offered a response that boggles the mind.

1. The chancellor thinks it's appropriate to bring up George Floyd in a discussion about the ambush shooting death of a student at her university, and
2. This may be part of a scary trend.

Oh, and by the way, my mother wasn’t a crazy cat lady. Although she preferred cats to dogs, she did have a dog as a pet while growing up and only sort of had cats. They were half strays.
It was dad who was the crazy cat person— driving my mother nuts with all the strays he kept making into house cats.
And he is no liberal. He turned my mother from a Dem to a Republican. I don’t think he has ever met a dog he liked.
