In 2012, Mitt Romney ran against Barack Obama on a platform of centrism and not seeing any need to appeal to conservatives. There was an arrogance that his campaign flaunted and it turned off conservatives in many ways. He lost that race, in part because of that and in part because he was demonized beyond all belief by Democrats and the national press. That demonization – from accusing him of killing a woman with cancer to making up controversy over his tax returns, and everything in between – was nothing short of scandalous because of how obvious it was that it was based on nothing real. But despite all that, many Republicans and even conservatives who felt otherwise uninspired by the man went out and defended him from those attacks.
Fast forward several years, and Romney is now a full-fledged anti-Trump Republican Senator from Utah. He is the face of intra-party resistance to Trumpism and a source of “newfound respect” from the Democrats and the national press that once excoriated him.

Utah wouldnt support him a few years ago they didn’t want him...that’s why he went to MASS to run for election where he ran LEFT of Ted Kennedy for the US Senate in 1994, and finally he won as Gov of MASS in 2002...now the political atmosphere has changed in UT to closer to Willard’s ultra liberal mindset and so this time they welcomed him with open arms...
Remember Salt Lake County where the Mormons have their big religious building is now very liberal...gee how did that happen..

Word is Romney and the Bushie RINO crew are plotting again against Trump for the RNC convention, working state by state to get unfaithful electors and party officials advanced toward it wherever possible. How convenient too that Romney has his niece running the RNC!
Every MAGA Freeper with the ability to do so, should see about getting involved in their local and state RNC party events. Trump also needs to find his 2020 Manafort to get it under control.
