This guy consistently ignores the west coast.

Love Joe as a person, but he was so wrong last winter about our part of the country I stopped going to his site.

Joes great
Nota Global Warming lap dog and sarcastically funny too.

I especially like the way he explains the Indian Ocean conditions correlation to ours through out the year

Not true. He mentions the west coast weather when there is some worth noting. Bastardi runs a Forecast Service. He’s not your daily Weatherman. Rarely is there dramatic (dangerous) weather on the west coast.
But, there can be patterns on or off the west coast that can indicate a condition that can result in or be an indicator of dramatic weather elsewhere in the country.
West coast weather is rather mundane on the whole. Rainy season and dry season. If spring is exceptionally wet he will warn of a very bad fire season in advance.

At least he admitted he was wrong, which a lot of weather sites don’t. And then he went into great detail explaining how and why he messed up. I have to respect someone like that.

And as a deer hunter, I’ll have to admit I liked his original forecast a lot better than the weather we actually got. :-)

Yes, but then he kept being wrong about the intermountain west. I do love his take on the global warming hoax, of course.

He’s addicted to the east coast because he’s from there.
