If Gowdy said that during the interview, I do not know how anyone can defend him or say he was on our side. That's deep state talking points. He was a poseur in congress; now he seems to be dropping the pose.

I cannot get past what he said....
He basically said he believed Wray and the FBI after the briefing he was given.
He then said he realized what he was told 3 weeks later was not true after he reviewed the documents himself.
Do you remember him calling them out? Do you remember him correcting his prior statement? No. He didn’t. He became one of the most ardent defenders of Mueller and Rosenstein.
He said he knew this 3 weeks after his March of 2018 meeting with the FBI. Here is an article from the middle of April in 2018 and I don’t see any corrections.....
He was possibly the most quoted GOPe member for the left-wing media!
Remember, he basically said last night “aw, golly shucks, I got played and I realized it 3 weeks later”, but I don’t remember any change in his statements or tone about the Special Counsel, the FBI, or the entire Russian collusion delusion when it counted.

Yep. Paul Ryan, Trey Gowdy, Richard Burr, Graham, Grassley, and McConnell laid down and refused to fight.
They bought the lies hook, line, and sinker.
If it had not been for Nunes at the outset of this we would not have known many things that later led to the unraveling of the plot. Nunes deserves a lot of credit because he was pretty much a one man band and the only folks who sang with him at any point were the Freedom Caucus members.
Gowdy was all hat and no cattle. Useless when we needed him the most.
You’re right he didn’t call anybody out nor where there any corrections. He is saying what he is saying now because others found out that he knew and were surprised he didn’t say anything or made corrections to his previous statements. In other words, he got caught in his silence. If they didn’t find out, things would have just continued as they were. This information flow is increasing and getting more into the weeds; and people are being surprised at what is coming out. They will be reexamining Comey & Crew, Republicans and Democrats that knew and Obama himself. I think the biggest focus will eventually be on Obama. His legacy will be in tatters. The only thing memorable from his legacy — that is not damnable — will be, “The First Black American President.”
Lots of them are up and fighting now... we are able to forgive...
