Movie Pans Green Energy [semi-satire]

Filmmaker and Bernie Sanders supporter Michael Moore's new movie "Planet of the Humans" characterizes so-called green energy as just another crony capitalist scam. "We went into this project hoping to prove the superiority of green energy," Moore said. "We found out otherwise."

"Consider, the solar panels needed to generate electricity are made with metallurgical coal and require 16 times more materials in the form of cement, glass, and steel than do nuclear plants, and create 300 times more waste," Moore observed. "Then there are the renewable bio-fuels that are produced using tractors that run on diesel, use water pumped by electricity, most often from fossil fuel power plants, and are delivered to distilleries powered by electricity with trucks fueled by diesel. The crops used to make bio-fuels use millions of gallons of water annually and require 400 to 750 times more land to produce the fuel than an equivalent amount of petroleum. The bottom line is: green energy can't prevent climate change, and those saying it can are profiting handsomely from government green energy subsidies and mandates."

Climate change guru Al Gore called the film "short-sighted. The issue isn't whether green energy is more or less polluting than fossil fuels. The crucial objective is to transform society, dethrone the fossil fuel corporate barons, and put a new more socially acceptable elite in charge. The hundreds of millions of dollars I personally have reaped along the way are irrelevant. Moore's film has seriously undermined the attainment of this objective. I urge all who believe in me to shun this movie and its maker."

There is no satire here, except for the obvious made up quotes from Michael Moore and Al Gore. I saw most of the film and it’s a great piece of work. It’s exactly the kind of film Michael Moore should have made to deserve the way overblown attention he’s gotten for 30 years. I was astonished to see his name on it. But I’m a little surprised also to hear a little common sense now and then , yet very infrequently, from even one I loathe as much as Bill Maher.

Rush just reviewed this movie and I makes me want to go see it for the monumentally hysterical LAUGHS it will provide!!!

To me, this is just too funny for words!!! The creepy Moore did this rather than commit suicide so he could keep from going to hell for a lifetime of lies and falsehoods!!!

It becomes increasingly difficult to spot the satire.

Even that won’t keep Moore out of hell.

Hell is easy to avoid by those that have ears to hear and eyes to see

Most likely ego driven pride will be what keeps him on the wide path to hell

He seems to be tumbling down that trail like in an episode of Ridiculousness...

I can't, no i don't even want to disagree with you on any of your profoundly correct statements! It's just that when I look a all the Tesla charging stations they just installed in my favorite parking lot in the Roseville Galleria Mall where I wait for Uber riders to ring my bell, I just am cracking up like I did when Jimmy Carter tried his best to get everyone to switch to wind, solar and corn whiskey just when the price of oil and gasoline dropped then became hard to get like in the classic cult movie "Americathon"... And NOW I'M BUYING GAS AT SAM'S CLUB FOR $1.91/ GALLON!!!

Oh, and the rest of the parking lots at the Galleria Mall in Roseville are empty!!!

As Yakoff Schmirnoff said... WHAT A COUNTRY, HA HA HA!!!
