Who would have the official authority to ban international travel?
Why don’t they?
Are they afraid the World Economy would tank if they do?
Or do they even care if the worst case scenario does happen? (Population control)
Hong Kong protests have not stopped. The media is simply picking up on the virus as the story coming out of China instead.
Our grocery stores will remain stocked and there is plenty of fuel to drive everyone around and heat everyone’s homes. For manufacturers who failed to listen to POTUS who has been telling them to shift their supply chains since 2016, yeah, life will suck. For California which makes a lot of money out of their ports, yeah, there are problems. Might not be a bad idea for truckers to check out the options in Norfolk or Galvaston.

He said the coronavirus in the USA would be only slightly more dangerous than an average influenza virus.
That's the third time I have heard a USA health expert say essentially the same thing.
I also saw an interesting and very hopeful chart today - “New Recovered” patients have outnumbered “New Infection” patients for the last six days.

I don’t know exactly what to make out of this coronavirus.
That the media is in hyperbolic circus mode over it isn’t comforting, and you cannot trust anything out of China because they are known liars.
You have these health experts saying it’s only slightly more dangerous than flu, and others saying it’s not even remotely close to the flu. Hard to know what is true.

I think what they mean is that “medically” it does not resemble the flu virus.
I was speaking about the death toll from corona.
In a “normal” flu year in the USA, the death toll from flu will be about 0.2% to 0.4%.
Currently, outside of China, the death toll for corona is about 0.7%.
After six weeks of increasing world wide infections, the USA death toll from corona is still ZERO!
