Everything Schiff classified should be disclosed in the so-called impeachment trial.
There is no national security implication to revealing the “whistleblower” whose assertions are not protected when it comes to the President in any event.
The President is not just another federal employee, and he doesn’t serve at the pleasure of Congress.
Whistleblower protections are there to protect people from misconduct by civil service employees. The Congress cannot write a law affecting the status of the President as his status is defined by the Constitution, not them.
Using classification to hide misconduct is itself a crime. Schiff could be prosecutable under that point alone.
Majority Leader Collins surrendered on evidence yesterday. The GOP accepted all the “evidence” from the House on the Dems terms.
Excellent point.
