I don’t understand this pairing:

4 1960 “Running Bear” Johnny Preston
4 1965 “You Were on My Mind” We Five

Everything else is matched by the year. These two are 5 years apart.

Summer Place
Teen Angel
I’m Sorry
Michael
Roses are Red
Johnny Angel
I can’t stop loving you
He’s so fine
The end of the world
Everybody loves somebody
I get around
Oh pretty woman
You’ve lost that lovin feeling
Downtown
Monday Monday
Cherish
Soul and inspiration
Reach out I’ll be there
To sir with love
Windy
The letter
Sunshine of your love
Sittin on the dock of the bay
Live us blue
Everyday people
Hot fun in the summertime
Aquarius

2 1969 “Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In” The 5th Dimension

There were some pretty tough choices in there - but thanks!

1963 Safaris, “Wipeout”, (perhaps more notable is how this song came about).
It was a request from the audio sound engineer for the Safaris to provide a song on the flip side of the 45 rpm disc, they only had one song. They improvised the song and when asked for a name, they were looking for something to signify how a surfboard might crack in two. They didn’t know the term, when somebody in the studio in a high pitched giggling voice said, “Wipeout”. That’s the voice you hear on the track. It received airtime strictly by word of mouth and happenstance, stumbling onto an LA radio station, then took off in the charts.
