And glad to know the kitten is POLITE, “thanking its owner”. My cat seems to have missed out on the politeness lessons.

I’d be surprised if this little darlin’ wasn’t a “foster fail”-—the foster mom ends up adopting her.

Cool kitty. Thanks for posting. Our 3-legged foster kitty died a couple of weeks ago. Isabella was a great one...an inspiration.

Oh, she looks so much like "Micah," the son of a feral on our property. Mom took him off to fend for himself, but he wailed and wandered close enough so I heard him, and, terrified as he was of me, I was the only game in town for sheer survival. Mom has since been gentled and fixed and Micah has a wonderful home, too.

The only problem with these too-cute-to-believe pics is that it encourages folks to have a litter, forgetting how fast they grow, how much care is needed, how long they live and so on. Still, many must be encouraged to add one to the family and it all turns out well.

My four little feral rescues would not know about foster failures, talk to my wife about that.

Fostering is emotionally hard, to spend so much time socializing and interacting with a kitten, then giving them away just when they start bonding with you.

So adorable it melts your heart. You just want to pick him up and hug him.

I don’t think cats “smile”.

After 4 months someone took a shine to the stray that found us. I couldn’t let him go both for me and because I didn’t want him to think he was just being tossed around.

He is happy here in the barn and the shop though the other cats in the blood pride won’t accept him very well.
