I have a personal interest in this battle.My family owned a Tavern on the road between Lexington and Concord as you might assume from my Freeper screen name. The family was warned by Dr Samuel Prescott who was a mere 25 years old an was recruited by Paul Revere and Dawes...Revere was captured by the British early on. Prescott being young an fine horseman actually finished. Several British were cut down on the property during their retreat. And three young men in the family served in the Colonial Army!
The Tavern is now a Historical building owned by the National Park service.

One of the best books I have ever read...Paul Revere’s ride by Fischer. It was used at the Appleseed shooting event I attended...
