I guess I need to be a lot more careful on FreeRepublic than I used to. I meant that he felt it was not that important in his personal view because it would never come up for a vote.

Not excuses, observations. It’s Washington DC for crying out loud. With the dishonest, lying media shilling for the lying, corrupt DemoRATS 24/7/365, slavish support from the rank and file is all you can hope to get. So you use it to your advantage and bait the DemoRATS into doing something even more stupid than what they had originally planned to do. Even after they’re humiliated during their kabuki theater stunts, they act all uppity and insulted, and immediately bolt for the media’s nearest camera jockeys to make sure they get their lies out in front of the American people first. Over my many years of observing DemoRATS, whenever their lips move I never have a doubt that they’re lying... it’s what they do!

As for the “troop withdrawal” of all of 25-soldiers was it?... do you have any personal skin in the game? Do you have children/grandchildren being put into harm’s way anywhere in the middle east? If yes, what exactly are the ends you hope they achieve and at what costs to them personally? I do have skin in the game. Doesn’t it bother you in the least that the DemoRATS are all of a sudden beating the war drums over another country’s border issues and ignoring our own? As I’ve said before many times on FR, “The going’s on anywhere in the middle east are not worth one, single, solitary precious drop of urine from any of our nation’s finest military heroes!”

This one is spot on and I have no idea if I’ll ever go back to trusting anyone in Congress again. I don’t know why what we’ve seen in these past 3-4 years hasn’t left a sour taste in everyone’s mouth...imagine what the president has to put up with. I can’t fathom the kind of tolerance that has to take. As a lot of us believe - the Lord put him here for a reason!

Can’t help but wonder if we’re about to see the end of the country we were born and raised in. Will people like those four dunces (the squad) in the House then preside over a country like Venezuela? They can’t see or don’t care what it is today? Only one of those four wasn’t born here - what do the others see that is so disturbing to them about our country? Surely where the one came from can’t be all that bad - why did she bother to leave? Even from a refugee camp in Kenya (?), it had to be better than living in MN....
