I had a maid once who was very religious. She and the congregation of her church didn't believe in Hallowe'en. They would all dress as angels on Hallowe'en and have their own alternative celebration.

She also gave me a book on sin. Every chapter was about a different sin, e.g. ouija boards, tarot cards, yoga, etc. I was participating in every one of them--and happy to do so. I still am.

I liked and respected this woman very, very much. She was a lovely, loving, kind, decent person.

I also appreciated her concern about the welfare of my soul, though I definitely did not share her religious beliefs, fun loving as I am and convinced of God's love, guidance, protection, and indulgence.

She didn't try to impose her beliefs on me either, because of her fundamental tolerance, kindness, benevolence, generosity, and open-mindedness.

The Millennial Religion of Political Correctness is far more more misguided than my maid's--and far more fanatical, intrusive, ridiculous, and obnoxious. My maid was guided by love. The Millennials are spurred on by fear, intolerance, and hate.
