Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid row over Greta Thunberg as he calls climate activist, 16, ‘unstable’

Greta, 16, shed tears on Monday during a passionate speech at the UN Climate Summit, as she slammed world leaders for "stealing my childhood".

The youngster has been diagnosed with Asperger syndrome, selective mutism and OCD.

During a debate on Good Morning Britain, Piers said he felt "uncomfortable" during her speech, knowing she has come from a "damaged background which should not be ignored".

But co-host Susanna said she found it difficult listening to Piers having a go at her.

She said: "I find it very uncomfortable you criticising her. I think describing her as 'unstable' it is very unfair."

Piers interrupted her, once again calling Greta "unstable".

Trying to speak over him Susanna added: "But you get upset when people criticise President Trump when he's in full flow and being unstable."

It’s OK for the press to criticize Covington HS kids however.

enquiring minds want to know - who was the puppetmaster behind Greta’s appearance? One doesn’t just show up at the uN and expect to be given time to speak.

Greta “choose” to play in the big leagues. As a result she is not off limits now, and should not be. It is moral and right to criticize her for her actions, idiotic statements, and motivation. If you don’t want to be subject to such things, then do not insert yourself into adult political issues in public forums, like the UN and in front of Congress.

The Covington HS Boys were doing nothing but waiting for a bus. They did nothing to insert themselves into adult politics. Picking on them is completely immoral and wrong.

Her handler is a Soros lackey and Greta comes from a family of actors.

Had comedy had any balls these days, she’d be a great SNL skit.

What the climate activists are doing with this “special needs” kid is beneath contempt. It’s not much different from Sadam Hussien using children as shields to discourage bombing of his castle.

If we argue with Greta’s ridiculous nonsense or question the abusive way she’s being trotted around like some sort of prize poodle we are “attacking a child”.

Unstable is desirable, the next step after “useful idiot” is “useful psychopath.”

***send her back to school***

Why? The world is going to end in 11 1/2 years.
Why is anyone going to school for what reason? We All Gonna Die then!

I always thought it was funny in the past that people who thought the end of the world was near would still be demanding their kids get an education.

Bravo. As I wrote earlier, the teen years are supposed to be a time when kids start to really sort out who they are, what they believe vs what their parents taught them. Perhaps most importantly, this (is/used to be) all within the safety net of a family and close friends. I am glad nobody gave me the time of day when I was 16, let alone recorded me and gave me a platform to spew whatever teenage wisdom entered my mind.

Perhaps THE primary job of a parent is to protect their child - often from predators, but sometimes from themself. If there is regret on the part of this girl, she won't have the benefit I have of obscurity. That is, her 16-year old self will be on YouTube etc forever. Forgetting about the future, look at what's happening now - She's getting torched and championed internationally.

Where are the parents? I read that her parents basically acquiesced to Greta's passions (they went vegan after Greta basically browbeat them about robbing her future). I am certain that having a special needs child isn't easy, but this is all the more reason why the parents should protect her. These parents are basically letting their child run the show. Maybe they feel good about their caring and nurturing parenting methods, but I find it reprehensible that they let her go off with disregard (or worse, a tacit OK) to her being targeted by the opposition OR predators.

Greta and her Asperger's Syndrome is a child celebrity, and her 15-mins will soon be up. The smart tactic would have been to attack the adults and bemoan the morals of statists who use children as virtual human shields. I bet you the parents, if they instead of their daughter, were taking fire, would start unraveling and say stuff like "shouldn't you be attacking our daughter?"

I get it...let's use Alinsky on them, 3D chess, no prisoners, the kid isn't fair game, etc...but when a child's parents aren't protecting their Aspie child from harm, I'd rather shine light on the weak and effective parenting. THAT, to me, is the real story here..how the environmentalist movement has lowered itself (if that was possible) to use a special needs child to further their movement with total disregard to her safety and inevitable memes etc of which she'll be the subject.

I remember in the 80’s everyone’s childhood was being stolen because Ronald Reagan wouldn’t capitulate to the Soviets in nuclear arms talks. The threat of war (eagerly made by the Dems and the enemedia) hung “like the sword of Damacles” over everyone’s head. Kids couldn’t be kids anymore. They had to mature fast to meet the demands of a world left a glowing ruin. All the talking heads yanked about it. All the bands sang about it.

And they were wrong. Instead, 80’s kids enjoyed their VCRs, CDs, D&D, played in team sports, went to band camp, for played being nihilistic skate-rats, and finally grew up to be the adults harangued by kids about _their_ stolen childhoods over climate alarmism.

Of course she was a political plant. A mentally disabled child crying for action. Any one who disagrees with her is naturally a bad person.

America’s perpetual child is Chelsea Clinton. Almost 40, married with a kid, but conservatives “go beyond the pale” when they “pick on little Chelsea” after one of her finger-wagging tweets.
