I was also on FR that day... it ran sluggishly, but we got through it. I remember that also being the day that the “news crawl” appeared on all the 24/7 cable news stations. It hasn’t left since. It still gets me today, and I record and watch all the specials every year. I recall watching all the loved ones photos being put up in vain by family members and friends. We lost one of our own that day - BKO - Barbara Olsen on Flight 77.

Yea we did. One day an acquaintance was spouting the insane theory that it was a missile that hit the Pentagon and that GWB ordered it.
I said “Okay, then. Where is Barbara Olsen?”
“Who?” He asked me.
“The wife of the Solicitor General of the United States. They’re close friends of the Bush family and she was on that plane. So you’re saying that the President of the United States ordered the cold blooded murder of the wife of one of his best friends. That’s your theory?”
He shut up after that.
