VANITY: Clinton Admin. also floated idea for dropping cylinders into hurricanes to stop them (IIRC)

The Fake News Media is reporting that President Trump suggested dropping nuclear bombs into hurricanes to stop them from hitting the United States. IIRC, President Clinton also discussed dropping cylinders into hurricanes to help destroy them.

Fidel Castro was opposed to it, thinking that they were a spying mechanism for when hurricanes were over Cuba. I worked for the Govt. of Puerto Rico during Hurricanes Floyd, Mitch & Georges in the late 1990s. This idea from the White House floated in our office.

I'm pretty sure that the US govt. has probably 'purged' all this cylinder documentation from the Clinton 'glory days' (BARF!) -- but the Cubans remember! Ask them!

It’s OK when snowflakes brainstorm, but not when adults do it. They must be held to a higher standard.

In the 1950s people in the government were interested in using nukes in civil construction, to dig holes in the ground.

These Sedan trials infamously became the Sudan trials because of a typo during congressional hearings, apparently resulting in people to this very day still believing that we held secret bomb tests in the Sudan.

This has been another useless fact,

I believe Hillary dropped 33,000 emails into a hurricane.

A hurricane so powerful they didn't pop out of the NSA cloud in Utah.

Good thing they were only about yoga and wedding plans.

Why that’s utterly ridiculous!

Oh, well, harrumph, um, well, that’s something completely different, because, um, that’s settled science dotchya know.

Previous FR threads over the years posted studies that hurricanes were the required release of heat energy from ocean currents.

To disrupt this heat release could have bad consinquices for ocean currents.

It’s a wonder the Earth survived 4-billion years before we got here to run it correctly.

Yes, I was a kid in the 50s and they were discussing seeding hurricanes while they were still over water to make them use up their rain before they hit land.

My sister in law has thyroid issues and she grew up in that area....

There is so much radioactive contamination from those tests, the government will never accept responsibility for it.

NOAA - via the National Hurricane Center. It went insofar as to explain that the cylinders would be deposited by hurricane hunter recon aircraft.
