In fact there are different vehicles based on that idea using different chassis.

Not very useful against wild fire.

It is useless to put down a structural fire because it would eventually destroy the building and everyone inside.
The original point behind a design is to clear minefields before mechanized forces.
Fire extinguisher is a later role and pretty much limited to oil wells or other extraordinarily strong fires which are impossible to put down conventionally.
