You’re deflecting. Erik never claimed his was the only way — he criticized Vaquero for being afraid to stand up because he claimed he is at a stage in life where he has a lot to lose (which he may).

It’s not the only way, but some ways are much more courageous and better than others. Got that? Erik is his real name. He gets reported to his work all the time for “hate crimes”. He is enduring more than most conservatives for his position, and is more courageous than you or I — as your name is not Lakeshark and I’m not Sarah Palin.

The AntiFa wear masks to be violent and be the scum of the earth, but they do it hiding their identity. We here consider that cowardly.

He was criticizing a seventy-something who can't defend himself against the violence of he left.

Sorry, that's indefensible.

I'm glad he's "courageous". But my point stands. Not everyone has to fight his way. There are times that discretion is the better part of valor, just ask Robert E Lee and General Pickett about that.

Virtue signalling, and fighting someone who does it differently (rather than the left) isn't helping us. Not one bit.

BS. Doesn’t matter the age. If you want to say it’s a good excuse that’s fine. I have my own excuses, and you have your own.

Erik is in his 50’s with 2 children, presumably still dependent him, maybe even for tuition.

Having a good excuse doesn’t make it courageous. Even if you’re in your 70’s.

Again BS. And why are you putting "courageous" in quotes. What Erik is doing is more courageous than most here, at least in this aspect.

We are not all doing it equally effective in our different ways. By the way, we don't all get the same prize in heaven, while being praised for doing it our own equal but different way.

Some ways suck more than others.

Good for you. Enjoy yourself. It appeared to me he was more interesting in bragging about his courageous stand than in fighting the left.

I disagree with what he did, and said so. I explained that upbraiding a 70 something for not wanting to open himself up to the violence of the left doesn't help. Did you disapprove of Jews who hid during the holocaust too?

Just because you said BS, doesn't make you right.

53, eh?
I’d love to be 53 again...or 63...or 73 for that matter.

Vaquero himself said that in his 20's and 30's he took more risks. He himself is admitting he is not as courageous now as he has more to protect. Vaquero assumed that Erik is able to do what he does because he was perceived to have less to protect. I think Erik took umbrage to that, as he obviously does have a lot to protect and is getting calls to his work.

Not admitting when someone does something you're not willing to do, is not just different -- you're deluding yourself at least on that specific point, on that specific action.

We're not just different, on this specific point. Erik is more courageous on this point. On this point, Erik is the better man. And I'm fine with admitting that, on this point, and don't have to be a p***y about it.

I was born in Yakima and its become a hell hole run by migrant gangs.

The store by the fairgrounds still bears our family name, although we haven't owned it for decades. (Grandpa opened it in the 30's)

As far as the Jews during Holocaust, I don’t blame some for hiding, but there were traitorous Jews who cooperated with the SS to protect their belongings or livelihood.

They were not different. They were being traitorous.

And some Jews hid. That of course was understandable.

Some fought back against Nazis, like 14 year-old girl Freddie Oversteegan and assassinated Nazis and rescued Jews.

Were those that were in hiding and Freddie just different, or was one more courageous?

Or Sophie Scholl, depicted in the movie “Death of a Nation” and executed by Guillotine by the Nazis for distributing anti-Nazi leaflets.

Was she just different? Some 70 year -old may claim that he can’t do what she did and cite different reasons, but let’s not kid ourselves. Some are more courageous than others, regardless of age.

Someone should organize a Trump Appreciation Day across the country...

I'd like to have a "Daniel Z Brito" MAGA Hat March day after one of the MAGA hat attackers so his name will live in infamy AND it will be like saying "try at attack us all, won't you?"

Erik has more guts than I do. I admire him for it. Your comment is exactly correct.
