STATISTS V ANARCHISTS
Self ^ | 4 20 2019 | Dick Bachert

Posted on 04/20/2019 9:45:58 AM PDT by Dick Bachert

I've tracked this guy (whose name I do not know) for some time and sent some of his stuff around before.

This one is serious FOOD FOR THOUGHT on the difference between "statist" (a term I have used in the past and will begin to use more in the future for members of BOTH parties) and "anarchist" (a favorite scare word of the power hungry, statist control freaks in our midst).

A few years ago, it was proposed that our area of the county should become another political subdivision to, you know, assure better, closer-to-the-people GOVERNMENT!  I campaigned AGAINST it as I'd seen it done before and watched a new little fiefdom rise up to more closely and minutely MANAGE OUR LIVES and PROPERTY.  As it was an important issue, I ATTEMPTED to express my freedom based objections to the proposal in several neighborhood email newsletters...and was PROMPTLY told by OUR local DOUG NEIDERMEYERS, who had somehow gained control of these newsletters, that a POLITICAL DISCUSSION of that sort  VAS VERBOTEN!  Only discussions of lost dogs, failed trash pick-ups, swim meets, yard sales, etc. were permitted.  It passed and we now have CITY CODE INSPECTORS scrutinizing every alleged "infraction" reported by neighborhood Nazis who have nothing better to do.

One last comment about something said in the video:  At 4:58 you'll hear a comment about Trump being an "agent of Israel".  My feelings on that are that, while I DO NOT like a President operating outside the best interests of THIS country and I also understand that many of the international banks are run by often globalist, NWO Jewish interests and while I will NEVER forgive the Israeli "government" (gee, there's THAT word again!) at the time for their unprovoked and deadly attack on the USS Liberty (most likely because THEY did not fully trust OUR government at the time) Israel and the US have come together on a number of vital strategic issues. We could beat this topic up all day but will stop here, except to say that if we have to choose between the Jews (with whom we share 5 books of the Old Testament) and the muslims (who adhere to the teachings in a book allegedly written by a vicious pedophile warlord), I'll take the Jews.

Sorry for the ramble. Just had to clarify a few things.

STATISTS V ANARCHISTS

PS: His video was uploaded on 4/18 and already has 16K views so there may still be hope we can save this place from Clan Neidermeyer.

I follow this guy on u-toob and like a lot of what of what he says. Take note that he is more of a libertarian than conservative so every so often he reverts to PC nonsense.

Statism vs Anarchism is more of a spectrum, with one end being total government control of every aspect of people’s lives, and at the other end, there being no government at all.

On the “statist” part of the spectrum, we have people whose response to every issue is to propose yet another government program. On the other half of the spectrum, we have “minarchists”(minimal government) proposing ways to reduce government involvement and increase private involvement.

I regard myself as a “minarchist”. There are lots of government activities which our society would be better off without. The problem with trying to get rid of government activities, is that the people who would benefit from not having them are disorganized and lukewarm about abolishing them, while the people who benefit from government are very organized and adamant about keeping them.

One hundred years ago a string of anarchists bombings took place in the USA. Even the U.S.A.G. was targeted at home directly across the street from FDR’s home.

Never confuse a real anarchist who is against all government with the pretender who wears a black shirt with a red A scrawled on it. They may be antibusiness and just general glass-breaking asses, but all their plans seem to involve increasing the power of government. They love the “archy” too much to support anarchy.

You might want to lose the all-or-nothing categories.

Anarchists and libertarians throw the word "statist" around so much that event the Founding Fathers are "statists."

We are going to have a government of some sort whatever happens, so to anarchists and many libertarians, we are all "statists."

The bombings triggered the Attorney General’s Palmer raids. Mass deportation of radicals from the Democratic president, Woodrow Wilson. It’s a shame what’s happened to the Democratic party.

My idea of statist is someone in favor of powerful centralized government and supports its arrival. Since both Republicans and Democrats are responsible for our transitioning from a republic to a nation-state, basing our political views on the difference between two parties which are heading the same way isn’t much of a choice.

The authoritarian - freedom spectrum puts these ideas in tension much more usefully than left and right.
