Skip to comments.Brilliant: Christopher Steele Admits He Used Random Internet Posters As Trump Dossier Sources

Im tired of using the one picture of Christopher Steele in existence, so enjoy this clown picture instead. Its still relevant, as youll see.
Its been a busy few days for Fusion GPS and by virtue Steele, the former British spy contracted to compile the Trump dossier. Hillary Clinton was, of course, the person funding all this. Shes escaped essentially all accountability due to our ever willing media.
Earlier today, I covered some of the fall out from documents released by a judge in a now dismissed defamation suit against Fusion GPS. Theres more though, as deposition transcripts of Steeles testimony in that lawsuit have been released as well. It includes some rather interesting (or infuriating depending on your mood) revelations of just how much of a dumpster fire the dossier itself was.
The Washing Examiner gives us the details.
According to deposition transcripts released this week, Steele said last year he used a 2009 report he found on CNNs iReport website and said he wasnt aware that submissions to that site are posted by members of the public and are not checked for accuracy.
A web archive from July 29, 2009 shows that CNN described the site in this manner: iReport.com is a user-generated site. That means the stories submitted by users are not edited, fact-checked, or screened before they post.
Youd think a super-spy like Steele, whove Ive been assured is just a virtuous defender of freedom, would understand the need to at least attempt to verify things he finds on the internet. Apparently not though, as he admits in the deposition that he didnt even know iReport was essentially a message board.

Now the Department of Justice swears out federal warrants based on information from "pajama investigators"
And the FBI just took it at face value, did not bother to investigate such serious charges against the president.
Isn’t this where Lindsat Graham summons the FISA Judges before the Senate Judiciary to ask them point blank:
Is it true that all it takes to get a FISA Warrant to SPY on American Citizens, is an Anonymous Blog Post??
I like that “Lindsat”. That’s if we launch him into space?
As I said earlier theyre probably McCain himself using sock puppet accounts.
McCain : yesh - Trump is a poopy head who had sex with someone other than hish wife at Trump Tower - yesh, thatll get em
and did CNN ever expose this? or were they colluders? we know the answer.
The more I read about this testimony the closer to being convinced I become that Steele did not visit the iReport website himself, or have any idea what sort of site it really was. Thus he had not read the disclaimers, and did not realize that it was pathetic to cite iReport as a reliable source for his calumnies.
In his deposition, Steele frames every answer about this with “We”; he never says “I did this or that research” or “I wrote this”. Perhaps Steele is channeling Queen Victoria, or did this to dilute responsibility, but I think he wanted to evade the simple truth: others came up with the dirt and wrote the dossier. Glenn Simpson’s wife has said the dossier was the result of Glenn’s work. Others point to Nellie Ohr.
It drives me nuts that lawyers have Steele under oath, and can’t bother to ask him: Did you personally research the “dossier” — all of it? Did you personally write the “dossier” — all of it? If not, who else researched or wrote portions of it? What are their names? What parts did each of them research and/or write? Those questions are material to their case, and potentially would have exposed more defendants to go after.
Is it me, or is there not a multitude of reasons for Christopher Steele to be in U.S. Federal custody for the foreseeable future?
Is he in England?
The tentacles of this coup are nearly all exposed, it’s time to PROSECUTE!
Guys in their socks and underwear on 4chan RUN the US Dept. of Justice..?
Steele is trying to hide his Russian collusion connection, and therefore the Hillary Russian collusion connection.
