Fire "Red For Ed" Teachers And Start Over
Canada Free Press ^ | 03/03/19 | Daniel Wiseman

The overwhelming majority of public schools in the United States suffer discontent and strife because of the rapacious teachers unions, the AFT and the NEA

Go online and do research on the recent West Virginia teachers strike, and low and behold, the Democratic Media Industrial Complex all get in line to report on this non-catastrophe. They are all there: National Public Radio, the New York Times, CNN, USA Today, CBS News, and Time Magazine—to get behind the teachers union like Pavlov’s dogs.

As the West Virginia House of Delegates killed a bill that would allow for charter schools and private school vouchers, the American Federation of Teachers was there to celebrate its political muscle and their continual ability to give students the finger. According to the print edition of NPR, cheers came from the rooms in the Capitol where teachers on strike had assembled, and Fred Albert, president of West Virginia chapter of the American Federation of Teachers, told The Associated Press, “It was very clear today that the House heard our voice.”

The primary purpose of today’s public education system is to grow and perpetuate socialism and the government plantation.

The first mistake was handing education of our children to the state. It is all but guaranteed that it would verve left into collectivism. Separation of School and state is a concept whose time has come

You wrote “it would verve left.”

Of course you meant “swerve”. But you were educated in a public school, right?

Seems to me if we Mandated that ALL Public Employee’s utilized the public school system and made it a Felony to do otherwise, the Schools would be fixed Overnight.

What is puzzling is how to folks who have one of the easiest degrees to get in the multiverse (making them easily replaceable) manage to take control of our education program? Just think, someone out there with a hundred inventions, a prolific writer, an eminent mathematician, etc., could not get a job in your local “publik skool” because they do not have a box-top degree in “eddikashun”.

Just think of retired teachers (not eddikators) that you’ve met. Still sharp, and still capable of making most of us sit down in an instant with their penetrating knowledgable gaze coupled with that age-old instinct of how to work with people. Now think of your modern “eddikator”. Blort.

Why do we put up with this?
Why do we put up with “publik skools”?
We are paying for their ineptness right now...just look at pajama boy - their proud output.

Communism and “education” go hand in hand. Unionizing teachers and government was absolutely an asinine idea.

Houston has a wealth of resources in the form of retired engineers and scientist who would like to teach math and science. They are not qualified to teach, since they do not have a degree in education. Even if they did, their real world experience would disqualify them.
To be a teacher now requires that one blindly follow the set teaching plan and not deviate from it. No illustrations or examples from outside are allowed.
It is not education. It is more indoctrination, with lack of critical thinking skills - except for guessing what is the correct political compliance.

Good point; it would also work wonders if they had to live in whatever municipality/county/state paid them.
