After years of back and forth, a highly cited paper that appeared to show that gay people who live in areas where people were highly prejudiced against them had a significantly shorter life expectancy has been retracted.
The paper, Structural stigma and all-cause mortality in sexual minority populations, was published in 2014 by Mark Hatzenbuehler of Columbia University and colleagues. As we reported last year, Mark Regnerus, of the University of Texas at Austin, published a paper describing his failed attempts to replicate the study in 2016:
"After Regneruss study, Hatzenbuehler hired a colleague at Columbia, Katherine Keyes, to try to replicate the findings as well. She found a variable coding error. Hatzenbuehler requested a correction in September 2017, despite the fact that the error nullified the main findings. The journal agreed to simply correct (not retract) the paper, and issued the notice Dec. 11, 2017."
The journals editors-in-chief Ichiro Kawachi and S.V. Subramanian, both of Harvard University, told us last year:
"If the findings do not stand up to peer review, we will proceed to retract the original paper."
Now, the paper which has been cited 141 times, according to Clarivate Analytics Web of Science, giving it a highly cited paper designation has been retracted:

I could do a study showing the “gay” lifestyle is more dangerous / reduces life expectancy more than smoking. How many billions have we spent telling people to stop smoking...
...and the solution to my study would be to charge me with a hate crime and further subsidize homosexual behavior
The ass isn’t meant for back door follies. Diseases should just be expected whenever people go in that out door.
Frankly, the wages of sin is death.
You left out suicide. They are generally a depressed lot.
97% of Scientists believe in Manmade Globull Warming.
cough, cough...
The meds that keep them alive have been causing early dementia in more than a few.
That’s the first thing that occurred to me, too. How would you correct for premature AIDS deaths? 12 years sounds about right for AIDS alone.
Who would have thought sticking your privates into an anus or receiving said parts into one’s anus would turn out to be a bad idea?
Hundreds of anonymous sexual partners a year. With putting your thing in a place not designed for it and mixing it with blood and feces...
I kind of agree with the original study for about half the cases.
Hate does cut years off of their life. The study just misidentified which hate it was.
Almost all homosexuals hate themselves. Deep down they know they are sinning and that they are not right. That is why they have this incredibly huge need to be constantly affirmed by society and everyone in it.
Their conscience convicts them on a daily (hourly?) basis and they hate themselves for it.
Eventually the consistent wrong they are living in kills them (leads them to somehow kill themselves)
(The other half of cases dies prematurely from one of the hundreds of diseases that the homosexuals inflict upon themselves)
Most “scientific” papers are never replicated with any exactitude. This makes one wonder about the veracity and reality of findings. It also opens itself to political and other manipulation of the gullible.
Jealousy, alcohol, drugs, beatings and murder probably also play some role.
Wait! "Replicate the findings"?
I thought replication was old hat! Nowadays, we go by "consensus"!
Or is that just for "Climate Change" nonsense?
That’s ok...AOC has said we all only have 12 years left, anyway.
Typical result of most tax payer studies: More $tudy needed.
“Study claiming hate cuts 12 years off gay lives retracted”
Regardless, I still think gays should stop being so hateful.
On 2/9/2019, an article was published here that said HIV ages the mind and body. I think it was 13.5 years. A few years ago, there was a study saying people with HIV die 14 years early. I’m guessing the Gaystapo eliminated the first study, and are now promoting the idea that dislike of homosexuals is what’s killing them. This must be their process to institute Newspeak (from 1984) as mandatory for all, in order to “allow” homosexuals to live 14 years longer.
I haven’t heard HIV meds cause dementia, but I read several reports that HIV causes HAND, or HIV-associated neurological disorder, i.e. dementia.
I think the Gaystapo is rewriting every report that says HIV causes all these problems.
Impressive.
