What do powerplants in Nebraska run on? Where does it come from? Will that distro system still be operational, front to back?

The can convert to coal from Wyoming. Or is Wyoming going to be a dystopian waste land too? Again Matt you are simply painting with too broad of a brush.

You don’t think that transformers from large to local will be shot at? Really? Ever hear of Metcalf? Do you know what a 30-06 does to an insulator?

I guess that is a form of control, but not what I think of as control.

My idea of Control is the ability to turn it on or off at will.

If you destroy an insulator you are not going to be able to turn the power back on. The trouble with shooting out a transformer or insulator at a substation is that the average guy with a rifle will not know what that substation support. He may be taking out a very large area that may impact friendlies as well as foes. It could also cause a cascade that may take out all of his friends.

There is a lot to consider before you decide to start shooting a substation.

By the way a .22 or a squirrel will do the same thing as a 30.06.

Enough people will be so angry that they will only care that they still see light across the highway or RR right of way in “hostile territory,” and that will be enough to spur them to turn them off. Turning them back on will not be a consideration.

Such emotional people must be brought under the control of more rational leadership quickly or will need to be weeded out.

A hot head in your midst is as deadly as a sniper on a roof.

Vital infrastructure must be preserved.

Large transformers are not even manufactured in the US anymore. The lead time on a large transformer is about a year. And there are only two or three places in the US that rebuild them.

If some idiot shoots one after the SHTF that area would be out of power indefinitely.

In my brigade such an act would be a death sentence because that man would be responsible for many deaths.

If the USA is in the thrall of anarchy/civil war, the rest of the world is going to slide into a depression. No country will be loading up ships with enough food to keep the blue hives from imploding.

Ditto fuel deliveries. China and Russia will have their own problems.

If the U.S.A. goes down, the whole world will have major problems.

On the other hand, the U.S. has a lot of assets to offer for food. There are significant assets of American corporations abroad, if the people or countries trading for them were willing to take the risk on the Blue side coming out the winner.

But, I suspect you are essentially correct. The U.S. is a major food exporter. Stop that, and the entire world is hurting. Famine in Africa, much of Asia, Mexico, the Middle East, Possibly Europe.

LA, NYC and DC will be supplied from the sea. Even Chicago could get supplies through Canada and down lake Michigan.

And no doubt it will also be a hanging offense from the state / national government on down.

But what power will they have while stores and fuel-dry 18-wheelers are looted to the ground?

What power will your militia have? Compared to millions in the thrall of panic/anger/fear?

“Will be supplied from the sea.”

By whom? The same folks who are sending ships of food to Venezuela (not)?

Thank you. I agree that the compromise of America (and Western Civ, in general) was the result of decades of carefully planned sabotage across academia, politics, culture… The enemy has established more than a beachhead in our territory, but has had free reign to move laterally in every aspect of our world, doing all that was needed to prepare for this goal.

IF this: "Every previous genocide in modern times was preceded by a similar pattern of public demonization of state-designated scapegoats.." is true, and I suspect so, how in the world shall we prepare?

Ayers believed that so many Americans would bitterly resist Communism that 25 million would have to be “eliminated.”

I'd settle for Billy Ayers.
