Somewhere in the mass of information associated with related threads, I remember a reference to a CWII ping list maintained by Travis M. I could detect no ping received, so must assume I am not on said list that I very much wish to be on.

This has several benefits for the revolutionaries.
It allows them to rule with an iron fist using secret emergency orders: “anarcho tyranny.”
And it allows them to blame their scapegoats for the failure of their own policies. The scapegoats can then be targeted for extermination, permanently removing their future potential rivals.
I’ve come to the conclusion that peaceful coexistence with the Left isn’t possible. We should stop pretending that it is.

The real change will come during a failure of our mondern systems, which will happen in our lifetimes. Electric grid down, food and water cut off, etc.
It can happen as a result of a CW as postulated in my essay, or as part of a greater war. Every world power is now developing EMP bombs, etc. The great thing about cutting power is that it leaves cities intact (but depopulated), and the origin of a few missiles fired from mid-ocean can be disguised as to national origin. An ICBM fired from Russia or China to the USA leaves no doubt.
Once the lights go out, PC will go out the window 100%.
As bad as some things are in the USA, they are MUCH worse in France.
A French implosion into anarchy, revolution and CW would be a pretty big wake up call for Americans.

When reality bites, it will unleash an amazing social transformation.
Just having your antenna tuned and twitching will put you far ahead of the herd, even in a blue zone.
For example, having a few weeks worth of food and water at home may keep you alive when going out searching for food (the rest of the herd) will be massively dangerous to the man of the house.
And if he doesn’t return from the already-looted market, his dependents left at home are then toast.
In an essay that’s already 3.5K words long, it’s impossible to adequately cover every local situation. Yes, it will be much better for Oklahoma and Nebraska during a period of national chaos. OK can supply the fuel and get food in return. Not at pre-SHTF levels, but enough to survive, God willing.
It’s a tried and true formula.
And a LOT of batteries.
