John Roberts of Fox News is now reporting the cancellation came in an ’emergency call’ from the Pentagon to Pelosi’s office less than one hour before scheduled departure.
Trump denies use of a government plane for Pelosi’s trip to Brussels, Egypt and Afghanistan. Tells her that she can of course fly commercial if she wants.
President Trump on Thursday told House Speaker Nancy Pelosi he was canceling the official government jet for a trip she planned to take to Brussels, Egypt and Afghanistan, saying it would be wrong for her to go while the government is shut down.
“In light of the 800,000 great American workers not receiving pay, I am sure you would agree that postponing this public relations event is totally appropriate,” he wrote in a letter to the California Democrat.
He said Mrs. Pelosi could fly commercial instead.

I feel badly for the poor Airman who was forced to drive her Heniousness on the USAF bus. He probably needs to be institutionalized after what he saw.
Personally, I think it would have been a nicer touch to have let them take off. Then recall the plane to DC, just as it was about to leave US air space.
