On Saturday Yellow Vests protesters expressed their dissatisfaction with media coverage of their protest.
Both government and "private" media are seen as giving a one sided picture of things with the government's version far outweighing their view.
"'BFM,CNews, LCI' spread hate and lies"
is an example of what one protest sign read.
Last week BFM-TV journalists went so far as to boycott coverage of the Yellow Vests for one day.
The media talk about threats from Yellow Vests protesters while they are covering protests but it seems when blood is drawn involving journalists their injuries are caused by police "flash bang" rounds.
There have bee a number of incidents the most recent last Saturday in La Rochelle, a city on the Atlantic coast of France.
Photojournalist Xavier Leoty, who works for the "South West" newspaper and the AFP (Agence France Presse) news agency, said he could clearly be identified as a member of the media but police took deliberate aim at his knee.
He was bloodied and injured by the police "flash bang" round being rescued by Yellow Vests medics at the protest.

The police are shooting rubber bullets but aiming at your yellow vest eyes. The police are blinding and maiming the people. At this point, fight back.

I knew a black man at my gym who had joined the SEIU’s purple shirts. He had specialized protest training which consisted of getting in people’s faces and yelling as loud as he could. All expenses were paid; medical, legal, transportation, food, and housing (in student-like quads.) I can’t tell you how excited he was as this was the most money he had ever made. He was really a nice man; big, muscular and not the brightest bulb on the porch. I asked him about fighting. He said, we aren’t supposed to throw the first punch. But if somebody pushes us away or hits us we are supposed to go to town on them. I said, what if you do this to some old man and he dies of a heart attack? That’s probably murder two; jail time. He jerked his head back as you could see he’d never thought it through. After a while he said, “they have lawyers all over the place to protect us.” I said, the old man is still dead. He turned away and went back to his workout. As I was leaving the gym and without looking up at me he said, “I’ve never made this much money. I can’t turn this down.” I never saw him again.
My point is, there ARE regular liberal armies. The SEIU’s purple shirts are only one them.
