What exactly is a socialist? You could spend all day studying encyclopedias and not settle anything. Using various definitions, you could probably prove that anybody is or isn't a socialist.
So let's talk to a socialist. Ignore the verbiage and look inside his head. When someone announces to the world, "I'm a socialist," what is that person thinking?
With this focus, everything becomes simpler. Socialists may not be able to claim experience, learning, smarts, or success. But they make up for all that by a boundless certitude about philosophical and political matters. It's as if they, albeit atheists, are guided by a divine vision.
What is the central assertion contained in that vision? Here, I believe, is what the self-proclaimed socialist is saying to the rest of us:
"You pathetic losers are clearly not qualified to run your own lives. Or if you think you are, you're probably in the grip of dangerous beliefs that need to be discarded. All in all, it would be better if you stayed out of the way and let experts manage your life. That would be I and my cronies."
That's it. "I'm a socialist" means "From now on, I'll be in charge, fortunately. You can take a hike....”

I go for the simple truth of what a Socialist is: somebody who believes legalized theft is good.
Authoritarian/totalitarian power, plain and simple!
That is the essence of their thinking, with heavy emphasis on "dangerous beliefs". They can tolerate any religion except Christianity. That is because Christianity has been so pervasive in America, and has not been so prone to falling into disuse as it has been in Europe.
To them, what is so scary about Christianity? A large segment of evangelical Christianity has an element of Apocalypse. They are afraid that, if we are in power, we will try to make the Apocalypse happen (as if). That's it, in a nutshell.
It's really stupid, but true.
A socialist is not happy with their personal lives. They are constantly trying to change themselves and everyone around them to fit their idea of happiness. If they don’t get their way they get violent and combative. When they get the change they wanted, they then punnish the ones who were initially against them.
Lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof.
Socialism is the political expression of secular humanism.
Under socialism, civil government, not God, is the highest authority. This makes the family, the church and private business subject to the State as the highest authority.
Unfortunately, most Christian churches in our modern era teach the false interpretation of Romans 13. The correct interpretation is that civil government has limited jurisdiction and authority, and Christians are NOT morally obligated to obey when government exceeds its proper boundaries.
The are jealous. If they worked as hard making their lives better as they do trying to take stuff from others, they could feed a hundred families.

But if they rob and subjugate 100 families, they do make their lives immensely better. Rob and subjugate millions of families and they become supreme.
Socialists are envious people who covet the property of others and are willing to use force, including government force to steal that property. They are vicious, violent, angry people, willing to lie under oath, steal, or even kill to gain that power over others. In short, they reject God and His Ten Commandments - they have chosen to serve the other team in the ongoing battle between good and evil.
This sort of observational “reach for tree beach” is how i think all the time.
When anyone calls out for you to be disarmed, what they are really saying is that they want harm to come to you, or they want you to die.
That sums up wanna-be assistant managers in public television perfectly.
There is no "exact" socialist. A socialist would be someone who adopts socialism so the first question is; what is socialism?
Socialism is when a government controls the means of production by ownership or regulation. The Constitution’s first priority is to protect property rights. Therefore a socialist is a person who doesn’t accept America’s Constitution.
I want no part of any government that does not have as its first priority the protection of property rights.
Regardless of the title, name, or label spending time examining different government forms whose first priority is not protecting property rights is a waste of time.
What they really want is FREE STUFF!!!

Except that they don't see it as theft. They see it as them managing societal assets that just happen to be under your control temporarily.
They'll just take it from you to manage it better, because they are better than you, and they know better.
It's basically the Dunning-Kruger effect applied to politics.
As idiotic as it sounds, for a giant chunk of them it means “I am nice and kind-hearted”. Being “social” is mingling at a party. Then there is “social media” which they love. It means everyone interacts and gets along.
Ask them if the are socialist and all of that floods through their head. They care about others, they like having friends, they like social media. So “of course I am socialist” they reply.
As insane as it is, it’s true. They have almost zero understanding of economics. They just think people should get along and be helpful to each other. This is the mentality we are up against. And the imbecile factories graduate another class in May.
