“don’t like the flood pants look either”
I grew so fast in high school my parents couldn’t keep up with pants length. So it was longer pants than necessary, folded under and hemmed and let out as appropriate. The days of cuffing blue jeans were over. So it was Monkey Wards Sta-Press for me. It was a nerdy look, but hey... it was the ‘60s. Just about every family was in the same financial situation. My sisters sewed their shifts, at least my clothes were store bought!
