OMG 2K per foot ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? My God this just can’t be right!!!! About right for government construction.
The constructing company has to factor into the bid the inevitable Environmental Impact Statements, cost of litigation from various groups trying to stop them, dealing with congressional inquiries, etc, etc. It REALLY drives up the costs.

Most publications don’t allow posting the entire article. They warn Free Republic, and Free Republic automatically rejects the entire article for those publications. One has to post the excerpt under copyright laws.
I don’t know why so many people can’t just click on the link to read the whole article. That’s not really very hard.
