LOL - good one.
He prolly tried this method, but forgot step one. After the smell of burnt hair cleared the room, he decided to 'unwind them'.
Thanks for the ping, my bi-polar cousin!
I’ve never seen A Christmas Story....I’ll have to watch for it.
We keep things simple. No shopping. A little something for the kids, adults don’t need a darn thing. In fact, we’ve all been on a bit of a clearing out binge, so the last thing we need is more “stuff” to be brought into the house.
I hope you enjoy Christmas this year like never before - and celebrate the best president ever!
Oh, and you did very well with your post! Not one ##### in the whole thing! IIRC, that was your resolution last year, no? Good job! lol
About the only way to debug a bad light is a volt meter. Remove the middle bulb and test the voltage and in halves work you way back to the power source. Of course if the middle bulb socket has power then work downstream. Don’t forget to install the working bulb back into their sockets.
Do a simple tree.
Place an empty shell cartridge on top of a branch and be done with it.
Figure out what it is?
When the kid was still at home we used to do the family thing and go pick out a real tree. Christmas carols and hot chocolate while decorating it. Then our garbage collectors decided they wouldn’t pick up real trees anymore and you had to load them up and take them to a recycle place so I switched to a 7 foot prelit tree. Decorated it with the grandkids. Christmas carols and hot chocolate. Then the grandkids decided they really didn’t care about all that so I switched to 2 3 ft fiber optic trees. Pull them out of the box and set them on a table and plug them in. lol
But I’m so bad this year my 4 ft tall Halloween pirates are still sitting in the entry way. I think I’ll plop a Santa hat on them and let them be. rofl
ROFL!!!!!!!!!
I’ve been failing lately though!!
Thanks for remind me of my resolution!!
Yeah adult gifts, except mommy :), are out.
Just the kids!!
I think the lights and decorations are my favorite part of the holiday season - but I just haven’t liked the look of LEDs. Yours look better in the picture than the ones I’ve seen; to me, there’s usually something ‘cold’ about the light.
How thoughtful to remember his birth 3 months later. /s
I am sorry to read of your terrible loss.
We use 20 or so real candles. Pretty simple to figure out when one is “done” and to replace it. Nicer light, too. Well worth the higher fire risk. (Do not leave unattended!)
This Creche has been displayed every year since the end of the second World War. It came from Italy via a soldier who brought it home for his family following that war.
I join you in that toast to the President, a man of the people, who takes one dollar a year in salary, to take continuous abuse from the forces of evil, while tirelessly working to save the country we all love.
A toast to you President Trump! I can never thank you enough for what youve done for America.
Indeed, because you can't lose something you never had.
Will the first world problems never end?
Thanks for the idea. We still had our plastic chupacabra skeleton hanging on the front door from Halloween, so my wife just crocheted a tiny Santa hat and scarf for it.
No problem. Y’see, I myself am nuttier than a 5 pound bag of squirrel poop, and I like seeing others like me happy. I’m funny that way.

Say it with me: “fiber optic tree”.

A cartridge in a bare tree?
