The use of doctors and medical records is the part that I agreed with you was bogus. The red flag laws are being used with family and neighbor complaints. No due process as far as I can see. Maybe they have been used against some real wingnuts but bypassing due process isn’t acceptable to me.
Since Marijuana is being legalized everywhere, will smoking a Legal product mean you forfeit your Constitutional Rights too? People react differently when they smoke Weed, just as they do when they drink Alcohol.
The same can be said for Prescription Drugs, right?
How about a Gun Owner who is also an Alcoholic or a heavy Social Drinker?
Heck, I remember when the Legal DUI Limit was .15, then it was .12, then it was .10 and now it’s .08. The Government can be trusted to adjust the Rules to suit their goal, which in this case is robbing People of their God Given Right to Self Defense against Tyranny.

Under federal law Marijuana is a class I drug along with LSD and heroin. Substances in this schedule have no currently accepted medical use in the United States, a lack of accepted safety for use under medical supervision, and a high potential for abuse. It would be easy to rationalize a federal law to take guns from Class I drug users.

Yes, in many states, like MA, a medical marijuana card can get you stripped of your FID or license to carry. An ex-friend of mine will find that our the hard way one day when he goes to renew his license. I constantly warn people about this. Some listen, some don’t.
It should be noted that many psychiatic drugs mimic the effects of marijuana on the brain. They don’t work well.

After I retired, I had a few friends that were looking into whether or not to claim PTSD, and I also warned them that the govt would eventually use that claim to take away their 2A rights. It was right after obama started using the SSA to deny 2A rights to people who needed help with their finances.
