What they were trying to do is get a shot of Cruz taking a verbal or physical swing at the in your face protesters. Political figures have to leave before the situation escalates.

Honestly, there is something on both sides here. I understand why he left, and I would have also understood if he stayed. However, I think that it would have been portrayed badly for him if he had stayed. By leaving, there was still a story, and that story was that, once again, Leftist lunatics (but I repeat myself) are busy destroying the social fabric of this country to force their views on everyone else. IMHO, the average fence-sitter who sees that video is going to be pushed to our side of that fence with a simple question: “When are these lunatics going to do that to ME?”
Two Secret Service men to each US Senator @ $100,000 each would cost $20 million. That is less than peanuts. Federal budget for 2917 was $665 Billion. Federal Government spent $528 Million on Planned Parenthood and that was in just $2014.
Let’s say they spend another $20 Million on cabinet secretaries. That is still only $40 Million altogether. Still a tiny speck on the budget. Look times have changed . Under Trump, the left have gone nuts and our GOP Senators and cabinet secretaries are increasingly under physical attack.
Congress is protected by US Capitol Police. Capitol Police answer directly and only to Congress, and have jurisdiction anywhere there is a Congressman. They need to be requested on a case-by-case basis. If a Congressman wants to play macho and go it alone, not much can be done.

Right. That’s what I posted on another thread...we need a D.C. Rapid Response Team to follow the restaurant disrupters to their home. We need to identify them, locate their employers and find out who has paid them to be disrupters.

I don’t mess with people who prepare my food. I would eat at home if I were a known non-Democrat. I don’t like restaurants anyway.
Too expensive and the food home is better anyway. Plus, I never get sick at fast food chains because they have strict sanitary codes.
The left have been showing their true colors lately. Hopefully Americans are paying attention.
