Monday Night Football was a boon to neighborhood bars in NYC.
Business picked up so much that many locals had to put on second bar tenders as they did on Fridays and Saturdays.
Owners would put out a spread for halftime that for many ended up being Monday night dinner.
My hubby watched that and said “I’m so glad I’ve given up today’s NFL”
Don't support the nfl at all because they literally hate America and hate you.
The only thing the nfl cares about is taking your money while they spit in your face.
The national felon league can rot!
We feel the same way! And we USED to spend A LOT of $$$ on NFL tickets and regalia. No more.
That is why it is nice to reminisce about the way the NFL USED to be. Johnny Mathis singing the national anthem properly without “showboating” the way the singers of today do it. Black players singing along to the national anthem (GASP!) Announcers commenting on the game and nothing else. No tatted up players, the contrasts are ENDLESS! Today’s libbed-down NFL is a travesty.
