There are remedies built in to the system that simply require that the President recognize a clear, present, and immediate threat to the republic. Should such a moment arise, the President can declare a national emergency, suspend the Constitution, and use his war powers and specific clauses of the NDAA to arrest and imprison the individuals fomenting insurrection, espionage, and treason for military trials. That’s real ‘nuclear’ option that no one talks about, but it’s there.
