“How can you say that when you don’t even know the minimum standards?”

Exactly. The author doesn’t know the minimum standards either; only that they are supposed to be the same for everyone, regardless of age or sex. The Army is fields testing the standards in the divisions over the next year. The author’s long time complaint has been that it’s unfair and unwise to have one standard for men and another for women; now he’s got that. Regardless, these events look more difficult than the current 3 events and will certainly be more taxing on older or weaker personnel.

I remember we had one copy machine in CONAD and the office pogs would put their junior man as a copy machine watch, his desk was right next to it. You had to get permission from the 1stSgt (PAR) to use it.

No computers at the company level but there were some electric type writers. Times were tough on the "Old" Corps.

I don't know what they had the regimental HQ , we were not allowed to go there.

Death row in the military means the case is reviewed by various military courts and likely the US Supreme Court and the President will have to sign the death warrant. So let’s get it done!

Not sure how you practice throwing a 10 lb ball behind you other than getting a 10 lb ball and throwing it behind you.

Maybe go to the local bowling alley and start tossing a ball backwards over your head just after yelling “FORE”

I’m wondering WHO (reads as which Politician) is going to be getting the money for selling all this New Equipment to the Army?

Unspoken in all this hubbub:

Who’s paying for all this gym gear in National Guard & Army Reserve units? Or will they just test everyone at AT, never mind the other stuff they need to practice?

Bueller? Bueller?

Almost certainly he was “Dismissed from the service” which is the officer equivalent of a dishonorable discharge.

Without a ridiculous amount of equipment meant to be used twice a year, it’s going to take two days to administer a PT test to a company sized unit.

During which time all operations, combat or otherwise, will cease ...
