HARVARD DOESN’T LIKE ASIANS
Powerline ^ | 15 June 2018 | John Hinderaker

POSTED ON JUNE 15, 2018 BY JOHN HINDERAKER IN RACIAL PREFERENCES HARVARD DOESN’T LIKE ASIANS I wrote here about the class action lawsuit that accuses Harvard of discriminating against Asian-Americans. The court has denied Harvard’s motions to dismiss, and the case is moving forward, which caused the university to defend its admissions practices in an email to its alumni.

In denying discrimination, Harvard says it relies on a “whole-person admissions process.” That is, Harvard “considers the whole person, not just an applicant’s grades and test scores.” That’s fine as far as it goes, but if one ethnic group consistently needs higher grades and test scores to be admitted, that necessarily means it is being rated lower on other aspects of being a “whole person.” That reality is now coming out, as the New York Times reports:

Harvard consistently rated Asian-American applicants lower than any other race on personal traits like “positive personality,” likability, courage, kindness and being “widely respected,” according to an analysis of more than 160,000 student records filed Friday in federal court in Boston by a group representing Asian-American students in a lawsuit against the university.

Asian-Americans scored higher than applicants of any other racial or ethnic group on admissions measures like test scores, grades and extracurricular activities, according to the analysis commissioned by a group that opposes all race-based admissions criteria. But the students’ personal ratings significantly dragged down their chances of being admitted, the analysis found.

This finding, as noted above, was inevitable.

“It turns out that the suspicions of Asian-American alumni, students and applicants were right all along,” the group, Students for Fair Admissions, said in a court document laying out the analysis. “Harvard today engages in the same kind of discrimination and stereotyping that it used to justify quotas on Jewish applicants in the 1920s and 1930s.”

That analogy obviously seems apt.

The details of Harvard’s closely guarded admissions process were unsealed Friday after the university fought furiously over the last few months to keep them secret.

Presumably the university knew this was coming; hence its public relations offensive. But racial discrimination is hard to sugar-coat.

Somebody finally why elite institutions don’t like whites or Asians to me. I knew that unqualified students subsidized all other students, because those unqualified students would pay the tuition and fail a few months later, after the door closed on their ability to get a refund. I understood that.

However, one thing I did not realize was that those academically disadvantaged students were an economic boon to the universities, because of the subsidies they received from the government to try and help them succeed.

I am wondering what the ethnic group percentages of the Asians trying to get into Harvard are? USA citizens, non-citizens, Chinese, Japanese, S. Koreans. And other Asians. Vietnamese, Thailand, Outer Mongolia. And how many generations have those kids been from families in the USA.

Why Asians vote Democrat is a mystery to me. They don’t need hand-outs. They don’t like abortion. And they kick ass.

There should be a law that the selection process is totally blind as to race. No discrimination, no reverse discrimination which is also discrimination. Period.

Like other misguided people, they think voting Democrat is somehow “cool.” The Democrat media has for decades succeeded in branding Republicans and conservatives in general as fatcat stuffed shirts.

By his plain talk and shoot-from-the-hip style, Donald Trump is changing that perception.

And that is the main reason the lost-in-the-60s-and-70s Democrats hate his guts.

Yes, but I'm thinking that lil' "JoReela Brown" will still somehow end up beating out "David Chung Lee."

Asians - Koreans specifically - and Ashkenazi Jews have been on the “please, no more” list for Harvard and Yale for decades. It’s not news.

The colleges know your race by your name, by your alumni interview (clearing out Christians and conservatives,) and finally by the “boxes” you check. An AFRICAN AMERICAN or NATIVE AMERICAN box is the most valuable thing you can possibly have on your application... As long as it comes with a verifiable story. In classes of about 1000, you’ll be “verified.” Mistakes are rare but they do happen... Universities WILL dismiss juniors and seniors for lying , but far more likely they are forced to let their race-game undergrad freshmen “go” when academic pressures prove too intense for the actual people - stressed, lost - under those desirable pelts. The whole thing is racist and disgusting.

You Deplorables don’t understand that racism is okay, as long as it’s politically correct racism. Now go eat your peas.

Uh huh. How about if you stick to stuff you're qualify to evaluate, like SAT scores and AP credits? Whole person, my azz.

You mean based on merit and ability?

That's just crazy talk.

“Why Asians vote Democrat is a mystery to me. “

Asians have the herd mentality from cultures that don’t value critical thinking or skepticism. Coming from hundred of generations of serfs ruled by masters doesn’t help too.
Hence they are much more prone to brainwashing by the leftist academia, the lying media and Hollyweird. So it’s not that hard to explain their voting Democrat (add “generally” to all my claims).

What is much more puzzling is why Jews vote Democrat! Books and books have been written about such aberration.

All colleges discriminate deliberately and intentionally, with full knowledge and awareness. They make up phony justifications, but it is a lie.

They take money from Whitey and give it to non-Whitey in complete defiance of fairness and the Constitution.

They put their vision of “diversity” first - students must look different, but think the same.

It is an objectively unjustifiable quota system, that they must conceal, because it is blatant racial and gender discrimination (yes, women are given huge preferences as well).

People don't fight to keep things secret when they have done nothing wrong.

From talking to them many believe that Republicans are racist toward them. Look down on them, the culture they came from and since many of them are in science\engineering. They are convinced that Republicans are anti-science.
