National Republican Senatorial Committee won’t endorse or help Corey Stewart in Virginia

Rabble-rouser Corey Stewart narrowly took the Virginia GOP Senate primary and shouldn’t look for support from the Senate Republicans campaign arm, Politico reported.

“At the Senatorial committee, we’re focusing on Missouri, Indiana, North Dakota, Montana, West Virginia and Florida. There are great races around the country. [Virginia] is not on the map,” Sen. Cory Gardner (R-Colo.) told reporters Wednesday, Politico reported. “We have a big map this year, and what I’ve laid out in races that I’ve talked about, Virginia’s not on it.”

Republican leaders, who hoped Nick Freitas would defeat Stewart, arrived too late to the party to help Freitas clinch the nomination.

Freitas, a former Green Beret, lost by about 5,200 votes or less than 2 percent of the vote.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), who endorsed Freitas and went on a whirlwind campaign tour just days before Tuesday’s election, told Politico he was “disappointed” in the result.

“I guess I didn’t do enough. But it was really close,” Paul said. “He would have been great to the party because he’d bring new people into the party.

Stewart touts himself as a true Trump supporter and has promised a vicious campaign against his opponent Sen. Tim Kaine (D) who ran alongside then-presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in 2016.

“And finally, finally, folks,” Stewart said shortly after being declared the winner Tuesday night. “Virginians can choose to continue to elect criminal, illegal aliens like MS-13 — and by the way, they are animals — or, we can arrest them, deport them back to the countries where they came from, and build the wall!”

Early polls, taken before the conclusion of the GOP primary, showed Kaine enjoying a comfortable lead over Stewart heading toward the Nov. 6 election.

Further proof that the GOPe doesn't actually want to win. They would rather elect Democrats than conservatives.

What I have always said about the GOP is proving true again this year:

Their only principle is to have no principles. Their only strategy is preemptive surrender. Their only plan for victory is to tick off their base as much as possible. They have a virtually infinite capacity to learn gteh wrong lesson from any situation.

We'll just have to double down on races like this one. No more money to the Republican party; instead, give to candidtes who stnad for our principles.

Looks like I will have to donate to the Corey Stewart campaign. I hope President Trump devises some ways of filtering cash to his campaign.

The Democrats will find some kook lying women to accuse him of rape and child molestation from 38 years ago. Republicans will announce they can't support someone who is obviously guilty of heinous crimes.

As a registered Republican for 50 years (this year! sheesh) I have never given the party a dime. They finally quit asking about 20 years ago.

I've sworn an oath to myself to utterly destroy the most backstabbing worthless Americ-hating political party on the face of the earth. And once that is achieved I will start in on the Democrats as well. 😎👌

The GOP Senatorial Committee is not a GOP Committee, it is a RINO Committee. GOP Conservative Senators long ago set up their own GOP Conservative PAC because the official GOP Committee was so decidely RINO and was campaigning in GOP PRIMARY elections against GOP Conservatives, some now in office.

They’re not helping Renacci in OH? He’s a proven Deplorable. We’ve had the correct thought all along. The establishment Republican Party would rather lose control of the HOR and US Senate than to respect the aspirations of its voting fodder.

This is why I donate directly to the candidates I support.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee shouldn’t be surprised when their pleas for funds are ignored by VA Republicans.

Another reason I WILL NEVER AGAIN give to the Republican Party. I donate to individual candidates only.

Amazing. Trump won Ohio with a substantial difference yet Brown is in the lead?

Bad candidates lead to predictably bad results.

On a side note, Virginia is turning all out blue. The NorVA Swamp which is connected to the DC Deep State Swamp is expanding rapidly. Va will be like NJ and Md in short time. America has a liberal Cancer. The GOP has nothing to do with the cure.

Right decision. Stewart is an opportunist that will and has sold out anything and everything for the right price.

The GOP is part of the collusion system. They have long been the Washington Generals to the Democrat's Harlem Globetrotters.

Ping to people who need to be aware of the deep state collusion system to keep themselves enriched and in power at the expense of us "workers."
