The squat brick buildings of Grove Parc Plaza, in a dense neighborhood that Barack Obama represented for eight years as a state senator, hold 504 apartments subsidized by the federal government for people who can’t afford to live anywhere else.
But it’s not safe to live here.
About 99 of the units are vacant, many rendered uninhabitable by unfixed problems, such as collapsed roofs and fire damage. Mice scamper through the halls. Battered mailboxes hang open. Sewage backs up into kitchen sinks. In 2006, federal inspectors graded the condition of the complex an 11 on a 100-point scale – a score so bad the buildings now face demolition.
Valerie Jarrett, a senior adviser to Obama’s presidential campaign and a member of his finance committee. Jarrett is the chief executive of Habitat Co., which managed Grove Parc Plaza from 2001 until this winter and co-managed an even larger subsidized complex in Chicago that was seized by the federal government in 2006, after city inspectors found widespread problems.

Apparently, there was a whole lot of positioning and buying in anticipation of BO and HARPO landing the Olympics.
I (Quietly) made a prediction neither would see the calendar turn over a leaf after blowing that deal.
He must have been more powerful than the ‘Chicago Machine’ even though they put him in power.
When people ‘ask’ who is Valerie Jarrett I tell them she is the woman (whose hands you can’t see) standing behind BO trying not to move her lips when he was ‘speaking’.

It seems like everything the Dems do, they say they do with good intentions. Yet, hasn’t it been said for generations that “The road to hell is paved with good intentions”?
Grove Parc plaza was to be husseins jumping off point of birth to death government funded entitlements, government funded socialism with the $$$ from the city of Chicago as the starting point.
Of course hussein and company would act as the middlemen in this socialism scheme.

This was my initial thought too. Valjar is slimy and likes to stay in the dark seedy background of leftist politics but she is one of the most powerful members of their cabal of destruction.

It has been my personal experience that people will trash their own property when it is government subsidized. I used to go with my father when he had to snake-out sewer drains in Detroit in the early 1970’s. They would actually attempt to flush T-bone Steak bones down the toilet. Unbelievable.
