Carter Page — but he looks too dazed. Could that be an act!
Carter Page has a history of working with both the CIA and the FBI.
He has numerous Russian contacts.
He found his way into the Trump Campaign.
He was the target of the FISA warrants.
He has never been charged.
But, those FISA warrants opened the door for an expansion of targets within the Trump campaign.
Page was the target of the investigation. They used his alleged links to get warrants. But somebody gave the FBI his name and the story about Russian links. And another person (Stefan Halper) was trying to get information from Page and others who might have ties to the Trump campaign. If Page wasn’t charged, it could just be that they didn’t find anything to charge him with.
But somebody gave the FBI his name and the story about Russian links.
Page gave the FBI/CIA his own name.
Hillary/Fusion/Steele/Halper et al,, provided the collaboration.
I would still like to know a few other things.
How exactly did the Russians influence our elections?
Did they change voters opinions?
Is this anything new?
Did they hack our voting machines?
Did they hack the DNC’s server?
Where’s the proof?
Are we to believe that the WikiLeaks publication of John Podesta’s emails actually tipped the election to Trump?
It’s all a joke.
Trump!
I doubt they hacked the voting machines, though. That seems to be more Democrat paranoia or seeking somebody to blame. They tried that line when Kerry lost in 2004.
And Carter Page? He seems to have been more somebody who wanted to be somebody than somebody. I mean, more somebody who exaggerated his own importance. I guess that could involve getting involved with the CIA or the FBI, but it could also mean that he was the guy who talked about his connections so much and to the wrong people that he naturally came under investigation. I have no inside knowledge of what was going on but the latter seems more realistic to me.
